Rebekka Leigh Handspun at The Wool Croft

Posted on Apr 23, 2013 by in Knitting, Spinning | 4 comments

I’m very excited to announce that some of my yarns are now being stocked at The Wool Croft which is a boutique wool shop in the heart of Abergavenny.

I’ve been very busy the past few weeks spinning up a custom order for owner Ginevra Croft, and there are a variety of skeins to choose from. From Art yarns which include ladybird beads, mohair cocoons  to skeins of Local Welsh Abergavenny Jacob, Whose fleece has been washed, combed/Carded, dyed and spun by me.

I have to say I had the most fun ever creating these yarns, I do love a good opportunity to play with fluff and pretty things and go a little “mad scientist” when I spin them.

If your In Abergavenny please do go and take a look, say hello and give a skein a hug!!

The Wool Croft can be found at:

The Wool Croft,
9 Cross Street,
Abergavenny NP7 5EH

Opening times are as follows:

Tuesdays to Saturdays from  9am – 6pm

Sundays and Mondays – CLOSED

Here’s a picture of them that Ginevra sent showing them sitting in a pretty wicker basket.

  1. They look lovely!

  2. If I was there I’d buy the ladybird one, its lovely beyond words!

    • Thanks Marie, That yarn was my absolute favourite. I never repeat a yarn but I’m toying with the idea of doing one simular for myself with bumble- bees and perhaps a few more flowers. I know Ginevra has snagged that yarn for herself and is going to make a tea cosy for the shop display.

  3. Lovely colours and texture.
